Stop Climate Denying in Cabinet

Join people across all 50 states in sending a message to every US Senator: reject Donald Trump’s reckless climate denying cabinet nominees.

Please call Sen. Feinstein and Harris on Sessions and those below.

-Scott Pruitt for EPA Administrator (has been approved but much controversy - still worth fighting (see article here)

-Ex-Gov. Rick Perry for Secretary of Energy

-Rep. Ryan Zinke for Department of Interior

See the letters below for talking points on each.  We know there are others he is trying to appoint that are truly bad for the positions they are picked to take but feel, for us, that it is of paramount importance to stop these to help our chances of preventing more climate chaos.

The climate is changing through our actions, and anyone who denies this shouldn’t be in the White House cabinet. It’s up to the Senate to stop these nominations — and it’s up to us to tell our Senators to fight Trump’s Climate Denial Cabinet.

To take easy action, please download the following letters to Senators Feinstein and Harris, modify as you wish, and use them to make your calls or send emails.

Things you can do:

1. Make calls to Senator Feinstein at 202 224-3841 or locally at SF office 415 393-0707,  or email here

2. Then make calls to Senator Kamala Harris (keep in mind she is busy organizing her office and staff) at 202 224-3553 or email here

3.  People are saying snail mail letters are best but keep in mind that it takes two-three weeks for those letters to go through screening so they may not get there in time. Note: Sen Harris has spoken on climate change and sees fighting it as extremely important.  Harris appears to be strong, but still needs to be told how strongly you feel on the above appointments, as, especially, does Feinstein.
