"Deep Green for Mill Valley" City Council Mtg - Feb 6th

On Monday February 6th at 6:30pm, the City of Mill Valley will learn the results of its most recent Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory.  They will also get a report from Staff about switching municipal accounts to MCE’s Deep Green 100% renewable electricity.  By switching to MCE Deep Green, individuals, businesses and governments can reduce greenhouse gas emissions- and that’s what needs to happen everywhere to ensure a healthy planet for everyone!  350 Marin's Clean Energy Campaign has as its purposes to support community choice energy and to get to 100% Renewable (without nuclear) as soon as possible.

People often ask how they can make a difference with climate change - encouraging local government to make the right decisions is one great way to get involved!

MVCityHall.jpgTo show your support for Mill Valley purchasing greener energy, please attend the City Council meeting on Monday, Feb. 6 at 6:30pm at the Mill Valley City Hall, 26 Corte Madera Ave, Mill Valley. (as the item is later in the agenda, arriving by 7:00 pm should be fine).

You may either sit in the audience in support (there will be a way for you to quietly show your support by holding squares of green construction paper) or if you are so inclined, give a short statement in public comment period on the agenda item.

Note: this is a county-wide campaign and some cities have already converted.  You may also want to help get the County to make the same decision.

Please email Sarah Loughran at sarahloughran@comcast.net to let her know you are coming. We would also look like to know that you are planning on it so also rsvp with us below.
