Environmental Forum of Marin Lecture: Water - Is There Enough?

Any discussion of water brings to mind the famous quote attributed to Mark Twain: “Whiskey is for drinking; water is for fighting over.” We walk a fine line in making any plan for water. We balance the alternatives and their attendant costs, environmental and financial, with our desire to fashion a plan that promotes our vision for our community.

This lecture will explore the policy, legal, and environmental perspectives of water supply planning. The speakers are leading practitioners in those fields. They will explain the unique features of Marin’s water supply system and how this system might (or might not) promote our desire for water security and our goals regarding controlled growth.
