Senate Hearing on AB2145 - Anti-Community Choice/Marin Clean Energy

NO on AB2145Join us to give public comment in opposition to bill AB2145 at a hearing at the Senate Appropriations Committee the morning of August 4. The Hearing begins at 10:00am, but it is unclear when they will discuss and vote on AB 2145. They have quite an agenda for that day.

The bill has been moved forward to the Senate Appropriations Committee with attacks on Marin Clean Energy, and is one step away from going to the floor for a vote.  It has been weakened with amendments, but is still harmful to Community Choice energy programs and clean energy in the state. It needs to be stopped in Committee.

If you can't make it to Sacramento, please call the Committee members.  See the No on 2145 website for the latest info and click on Take Action to find out about other actions you can take locally.

You can find information about the Committee members on their website. Senators de Leon, Hill and Padilla are the key votes.

If you are calling or writing to the Committee Members, here is some specific talking points and information.

There may be a car pool for people going to hearing.
